Social Media and Healthcare PR 101

February 1: Click on the Social Media Center tab, above, to see the last post of this series. In it, I give you resources to track the FDA’s position on the industry’s use of social media, an important factor in any decision you make for your company.

This four-week series is for biotech and pharma public relations and marketing communicators who aren’t personally  familiar with social media, but will need to make decisions this year on their company’s participation in this rapidly growing space.  Social Media and Healthcare PR 101 is also for any communicator who wants to become ‘knowledgeable enough’ about social media to keep their professional skills current.

Every Monday for the next four weeks I will post an introduction — with assignments — covering a different aspect of social media.  You will find the posts on Snapshot’s Social Media Center.  This ‘homework’ can be done in about ten minutes a day.   The topics will be:

  • LinkedIn
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Social Media: healthcare PR, public health and the FDA
